The articles, guides and worked examples published on this site are general information about how financial and transactional processes tend to work. They are written to be useful, and they are not advice.
Not advice, and not a professional relationship
Nothing on this site is investment, tax, legal, accounting or financial advice, and nothing here takes account of your particular circumstances, which are the only circumstances that matter when you are deciding something. Reading this site, or submitting the contact form, does not create a client relationship between you and Chief Perspective LLC. That relationship begins only when both of us have signed an engagement letter setting out what we are doing and on what terms.
Before acting on anything you read here, get advice on your own situation from someone engaged to give it.
The numbers are illustrations
Our articles carry a great deal of arithmetic: bridges, schedules, valuation ranges, working capital calculations. Every figure in them is illustrative. The numbers are constructed to be realistic for a lower-middle-market company and internally consistent, because arithmetic that does not tie out teaches nothing. They are not drawn from any client engagement, they do not describe any actual transaction, and they are not a forecast of what your business would produce. Multiples, ranges and timelines vary enormously by industry, size, quality of earnings and the state of the market on the day.
Sample deliverables and interactive tools
Any sample report or deliverable published on this site depicts a fictional company and exists for illustration and marketing purposes only. Every figure, finding and party in it is invented; any resemblance to an actual company is coincidental; and no reliance should be placed on it for any purpose. A sample shows the general structure of our work product, and an actual engagement deliverable may differ significantly depending on the scope, terms and fees of the engagement.
The interactive tools on this site produce rough, educational output from the limited information you enter, using generic assumptions that ignore most of what determines real value and readiness. Their output is not a valuation, an appraisal, or an opinion of value, and must not be relied on for any transaction, agreement, tax position, or financial decision. If a number matters, have it produced properly.
No guaranteed outcomes
Nothing on this site is a promise about what an engagement will achieve. Deal outcomes depend on the business, the counterparty, the financing market and a good deal that neither of us controls. Where the site describes typical timelines, those describe the usual case for a business with organized records, not a commitment we have made to you.
